At this school, speaking is at the heart of everything we do. I believe that the ability to speak comes from speaking itself — not from memorizing grammar rules. Every lesson is built around that one idea.

Do I need any Japanese before joining?
This course is designed for learners who can read hiragana and katakana and know basic greetings and vocabulary. If you are a complete beginner with no prior Japanese knowledge, you may find it difficult to follow the lessons.

Yes — Tsunagu Nihongo (available on Amazon Kindle worldwide, approx. ¥2,200). No other materials needed.
How long until I can hold a conversation?
Most students reach comfortable daily conversation in approximately one year at one lesson per week.
